Guiding Lights: Stories of Home, Memory and Belonging

This socially engaged art installation, created in collaboration with ARCA:  Romanian Forum for Refugees and Migrants and woodwork specialist David Burke, aims to raise awareness of migrant experiences and advocate for better support for displaced communities. In response to the influx of refugees in Bucharest, the project provides a platform for participants to explore and express their concept of “home” while highlighting the essential work of migrant organisations.

This project invited participants to engage in collaborative workshops, using drawing, writing, and discussion to reflect on their memories, relationships, places, and objects associated with home.

Their work will be exhibited in the ARCA's centre on Monday, March 3rd from 18:00 to 20:00.
